It is understood that plasma is a gas heated to a very high temperature and highly ionized, which transfers the arc power to the workpiece. The high heat melts the workpiece and is blown off by the gas, forming a working state of plasma arc cutting. After the compressed air enters the cutting torch, it is distributed into two paths by the gas chamber, that is, the plasma gas and the auxiliary gas are formed. The plasma gas arc melts the metal, and the assist gas cools the various parts of the torch and blows the molten metal off.

The plasma cutting system for super-large die-casting parts adopts plasma cutting technology, which is cost-effective and can complete the cutting of castings with complex shapes and various wall thicknesses. The plasma cutting system has strong versatility and high flexibility, and various castings with complex shapes can be processed on the same equipment; in order to reduce the amount of deformation, the unused fixture platform can be replaced. For large die castings with a gate runner thickness of 6mm, the cutting speed of the plasma cutting system can reach 30mm/s.
